There’s a glimmer of hope. This morning the sensors were back to working and have worked fine this whole day. Fingers crossed the ECU or whatever controls the sensors needed some time to pick up that the sensors had been swapped and working correctly now. Only time will tell. In the mean time I still have one thing up my sleeve before recalibrating it. Removing the spray paint and using new nylon spacers on the sensors incase I’ve accidentally crushed one or drew one in to tight. Thanks for all your help I’ll keep it posted here. That's a bummer. The positional swap was sounding promising.
paint with metal is a big problem.I can't think of a reason for the speaker to cause issue with the sensors. Were all of the sensors placed back into their original locations? I would not think it matters, but if they are capable of being calibrated, maybe they are sensitive to location.
The images of the ADD bumper, in their instructions, still has the Toyota part markings barely visible so it's definitely a light coat. Since the OEM installed location is going through painted plastic, it may be the type of paint that is causing an issue.
i like how yours comes back on, mine never came back on.So I swapped out the sensors and checked the wire harness for pinched or shorted out wires. I didn’t run a continuity test but I might do that.
So it didn’t work. I’m thinking it’s either the spray paint or the system needs to be calibrated. What’s funny is this morning the system came back on and worked for about 20 miles and then went back off again.
