Hey everyone,
I finally ditched the OEM bed mat on my 2025 Tacoma Trailhunter — and let me tell you, I should’ve done this Day 1.

The OEM mat slid around like crazy (even in a car wash), and the cheap Amazon tailgate mat I tried made the truck look like I glued a rubber shower mat to it. Total fail.

I've got this video dropping tomorrow, 9/15/2025 at 11:30 AM. Sign up for the Premiere and let me know what kind of videos you'd like to see!

I just installed the LasFit bed liner + tailgate liner, and it’s night and day:

  • Perfect fit, no trimming
  • Doesn’t slide, even off-road
  • Cleans up with just a hose
  • Looks factory but way better

I put together a full install + test video with tools needed, step-by-step, and a real-world car wash/off-road test. If you’re tired of chasing sliding cargo or ugly tailgate mats, this is the fix.

Anyone else swap out their OEM mat yet?

My TH did not come with an OEM bed mat. I ended up going with a WeatherTech Impactliner, which has been great. I did go with LasFit floor liners, very happy with those so far. They are more supple than the WeatherTech floor liners I have in one of my cars. That seems to keep dirt from getting around the sides better.

Before day one I refused to install any Amazon knock offs in a $70,000 truck. I pre-purchased Lasfit bed mat and front and back inside floor mats. When I brought the truck home I put them in. The TrailHunter OEM mats are cute, but that’s about it.

zero issues with my OEM bed mat sliding around. actually takes a good bit of effort to shift it or drag it out when I don't want it. Must be the difference between the raw composite bed and the factory spray-in liner. Spray-in only when I want things to move around more easily. OEM mat when I want padding and things to not move a single inch during the drive. Both setups have proven out well for me.

Triple Aliners is what I purchased from day one and it’s similar material as las fit. I also got the tailgate mat to match

I don't really get this statement because the Toyota mat is like 40lbs of thick rubber contoured to the bed. It doesn't move one bit, you would have to roll the truck for it to.
Assuming you meant the cargo in the bed, your new mat looks slippery compared to oem. Gotta wonder how much Lasfit is paying you?

Totally agree. The OEM mat is far above any of the cheap alternatives. This post is following a familiar pattern.

Bro is trying to get views on his YT channel. LASFIT maybe sponsors him…? Anyways OEM mat does NOT slide around. At all.

What I don’t like about the Lasfit is having to bolt it down. Stuff and spiderweb gunk is still going to get underneath it. And that logo is gonna get in the way of me sliding and organizing camping gear. The Tacoma OEM mat is somewhat of a pain for me too, but overall less of a pain for my uses. I picked up the mat a few days ago. I might try the Costco car wash to see how it behaves. In addition to camping, I will be using this truck to get loads of mulch and gravel to redo the landscaping in my backyard. And such cases, I will remove the mat and rely on the sprayed-in bedliner. That’s why I preferred the Tacoma to the 4Runner for this purchase.

“What I don’t like about the Lasfit is having to bolt it.” I didn’t like the bolting down also, so I cut around the mat and then installed bed stiffeners that are bolted down

I have a couple things to add as someone who has both OEM and TripleAliners which is the same as Lasfit. I like both for various reasons. Also, the OEM mat does not "slide" around. Yes, if you have water spraying directly into your bed it will flop around a bit, but I bet most people have bed covers anyway.
OEM: I like the thickness and material of the OEM mat since when it's fairly clean, things will not slide around, like not at all. With my Chassis Unlimited bed stiffeners it fits perfectly without having to cut the mat. In a sense, I wish it was a little lighter in order to take it out to clean or remove when doing yard work. Great quality overall.
TripleAliners: Conforms to the box perfectly, reduces chances of anything getting underneath and if when you want to slide things on it, you can. Also, you do not have to bolt it down, but you can. I did not. Ultimately I really liked this mat too, but swapped in the OEM to install previously mentioned bed stiffeners without having to cut it. or awkardly lay it on top of the bed stiffeners. I especially would not want to bolt it down in case I wanted to remove it.
