Just FYI Toyota has revised the Canadian mud flaps

New part number is PK389-35R55-P1

I just received them not really sure what changed but the old part number has been discontinued.

Speaking of Canadian mud flaps, I have a set of PK389-35R00-P1 that I bought several months prior to buying my truck. It wasn't until after I have the truck in my driveway that I noticed I bought the wrong size. I wish I could return them but it's already passed it's refund period.

So I'm thinking about selling it off for $75 (half off of what I bought it for) + I'll throw in a free gift (a Muslogy center console insert).

I bought a whole bunch of Muslogy products for my truck and they're very well made. But the center console insert just doesn't work for me. Maybe someone else could find better use for it.

How has the PK389-35R55-P1 been protecting the rear wells and flare?
I have a 20 Off road and see there is an issue with rock chips. Are the Arc mud flaps a better way to go then the OEM 35R55’s ?
I also added tube steps.
Thanks.

I’ve noticed some of the wider Canadian flaps don’t have as much plastic and looks like the part that sticks out is actually not there or removed? I’m running Pro wheels with the Goodyear 265/70 r18 and that bump has like a 1/4 inch clearance. My truck is only 2wd and never sees anything other than pavement lol.

My truck did not come with flaps.

I installed the Canadian kit, PN# PK389-35R00-P1, ordered from a US dealer parts site.

For a TRD Sport with an OEM-sized wheel and tire, they cover the entire width.

Installation is five minutes a corner.

No additional fasteners are needed, just the kit and a 10mm wrench or socket. In the front, you'll use the wheel well cover bolts that are already there. In the back, you'll use the bolts supplied with the flap kit, inserted into the existing receivers.

They are not flexible. If you drop on them straight they will shear off the bolts. But they are right behind the tires so I don’t know how likely you’ll ever straight drop down on them. They might bend a little if bent toward the tires.
My wife had mud flaps on her truck, she let me borrow one weekend to go hunting. First rock I went over the flap came down so hard on a rock I thought for sure I had body damage. Needless to say first thing I did was take them off when I got home.

I installed the -35R00 on my TRD-OR. Like most folks we want to minimize the mud and rock chips. Problem is, I wheel my truck. More than once I've caught the mudflaps on the rocks. I've cracked one, and bent the fender with another. I'm going to leave them for now, since I do think that most of the time they have value. I will consider pulling them for the rocks.

Here is the mudflap with the crack where it got bent. I'm running 285/70-17.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but the mudflap is pulled away from the inner fender. The mounting sheet metal is bent.
