He did show failure in his other videos on his channel. An oil galley right behind the main seal was not drilled through from the factory. Which caused the catastrophic failure.Dont think he ever showed the failure......
Surprised to see a inner timing cover, hopefully that doesnt turn into a cluster fuck, another source of a leak..
Pain Built Me by Trixie LoverWhat’s the title of the song and who’s the artist?
I do remember that video, didnt realize it was the same channel / kid....He did show failure in his other videos on his channel. An oil galley right behind the main seal was not drilled through from the factory. Which caused the catastrophic failure.
Human error on this one.
I never realized how complicated these engines have become! I have total respect for these technicians! This was a very informative video! Thank you!
Aside from campaign recalls like the Tundra, Toyota does not sell long blocks(complete assemblies). The only way to do a brand new complete motor is to order a new short block, and all other parts that are necessary to make a complete engine. Which going by 2023 and previous Tacomas, costs upwards of $30k(CAD) in parts. So for warranty purposes, Toyota will only cover the parts necessary for replacement.I certainly hope the truck owner gets a buy back. I’m guessing the reason for a short block exchange instead of a complete engine replacement isn’t about saving money but rather Toyota doesn’t have complete replacement engine availability soon enough to prevent a buy back. So they corporate put pressure on dealer to replace short block in a more timely manner.
