all the online fan bois forget that they are the super minority when it comes to vehicles. They think they are the overwhelming majority. I would venture to say that 5% of tacoma owners go on any kind of forums related to tacomasWait, what? I saw the endless comments that Tacos were dead because of the new powertrains and higher prices. Surely the YouTube experts could not have been wrong?
Tacoma owns the midsize truck market in the US for good reasons and none of the current competition is ready to change that IMO.
The amount of questions I've seen on Facebook groups that are prevalent and readily available in the forums would seem to highly agree with this statement.all the online fan bois forget that they are the super minority when it comes to vehicles. Yes, it's like "Welcome to my Tacoma Facebook group, wrong answers only".The amount of questions I've seen on Facebook groups that are prevalent and readily available in the forums would seem to highly agree with this statement.
Agree 100%I’m not a 3rd gen fan, so if you are you may find this triggering. When I first test drove a 4th gen I knew it would be selling like this.
As bad as the 3rd gen was with its squashed cab, seating position, gas sucking engine and transmission that was always hunting for the right gear, the new Tacoma solved all those problems.
14 months and 24,500 km in I’ve had zero major issues. Some fiddling with the CarPlay which works great now and easily scratched door panels is it.
MT, I had the exact same experience.Agree 100%
I never could get past the test drive with a 3rd gen.
Yeah, really wanted one. Test drove them 1/2 a dozen times, but just couldn’t get past the powerless shifty drive train!MT, I had the exact same experience.
Wife bought a ‘24 Outback Wilderness. I am glad I decided to retry Toyota with the new gen. Very happy with my ‘25 TH.
I don't really understand the Outback Wilderness. Seems like it's what guys buy when their wife says "no" to a Tacoma.Yeah, really wanted one. Test drove them 1/2 a dozen times, but just couldn’t get past the powerless shifty drive train!
I must have bad luck and picked the wrong truck from the wrong dealer because after buying and living with this thing for a few months I can’t believe how many I see on the road. I know I wish I had waited and researched it more.
