Signed up.. Not sure if Aux tank or good replacement of OEM tank is what I want.
That is an easy decision for me. I've had three trucks with spare tire replacement tanks. I like the flexibility. If I don't need the fuel I only run the primary tank. It's only when I'm traveling I use the aux tank. It's the same logic of not keeping fuel in the NATO can on the back bumper. If I don't need it, I don't carry it.

I talked with the folks at Long Range about their pending tank when I was at Overland Expo. I told them to shit or get off the pot and get the damn thing engineered and into production. It sounded like it will be an aux tank, which I prefer.

That said, if you are serious about an auxiliary tank, and want to spend the coin ($2K+), I would get signed up on their waitlist. Let's show them that interest is out there. Here is the link to make it easy. Now, quit yapping and get on this list.

I signed on, but was disappointed they didn't give us a choice (I know, can't make everyone happy) between replacement tank or aux tank, as long as it's under bed.... We'll see.

There was a place for comments. I put my desire there.

I couldn't find a comment area when I logged on earlier, nor just now. Glad it worked for you.

So Towing TetonX (3500 #) from Ut to TN around UT/ CO/ NM/TX that mileage on our 24 TH (CBI Covert bumper with Warn 10s winch, Falken ATW4 285/70 r17 on Method 703, Prinsu Pro Rack and AluCab Contour Canopy, we got about 11 MPG.. So a 3 gal addtion would be awesome.. Currently carrying 2 - 4 gal Rotopax on trailer and 3 gal Rotopax on truck.. Bigger gas tank would be so much easier.

Appreciate your input. You’re about a year ahead of us, heading down a similar path—which is exciting. The fun part is that, having already built an overlander, we’ve got a strong sense of where we want to take Riddick.

You also answered another question I had in mind. I was already aware of the CBI bumpers and had been leaning toward the Cali Raised option. Unfortunately, theirs isn’t compatible with TH trims. So now I’m circling back to take another look at CBI. I’d been hoping for a bumper with a bit of a ā€˜chin’—I’m not quite ready for a full front-end overhaul or 'massive' trimming just yet. I’m looking for something that offers some real protection, not just a platform for light bars and a winch that still leaves the front end exposed.

I don't remember all the details, but the 2026 Tundra is finally getting an option for a larger fuel tank.

Maybe that means there is some hope for either Toyota or LongRangeAmerica to come up with something for Tacomas.

The Covert Bumper is definitely protection for the front end in addition to being able to place a winch.. There is also a bolt on Bull Bar if you want a little more.. Havent gone that route yet, but looks easy to do after the fact.. One thing, if you do go this way, make sure the installer takes care of rewiring the sensors after relocation and my installers had to slightly modify the winch installation because initially it was interfering with one of the sensors ( i think maybe the radar).
Also, I got rock sliders from them (probably one of the first TH to hang their rock sliders). They are great EXCEPT my son and I had to do a little grinding (maybe 1/4 inch) on 2 of the hangers on the frame to get the sliders to line up with the bolt holes.. I think their prototype was not for TH but one of the lower models.. But now that they are they are awesome..

The base Tundra is getting the larger fuel tank as standard. It was an option. The higher trims have the same 32gal tank - no change and no option for a larger tank.
