Hi Kids,
I've had the AWE exhaust for 7 months now. I'll try and post an audio file. The kit is high quality. The install is straight forward. My first impression was it's much louder than I expected. My wife thinks it's loud. After having lived with it this long..........I love it!!!!
It is definitely different than anything else out there. At idle it is cool but growly. On an uphill with some throttle and turbo it howls! Wonderful noise. For reference, I like the Ducati Panagale 1290 at redline, The Mazda 3 rotor Le Mans racer, Porsche GTS3, P51, and the Cummins 591. Going uphill at 1800 RPM with a little turbo it just sounds exquisite!

Cheers,
PO

Highway and city speeds I like it. Going uphill I feel like it’s too loud. That is my only complaint. OP, did you remove the AWE logo from your exhaust tips? Can you tell me how you did it?

The Logos are still there. I just rotated the tips so the logos were facing forward and down.

This may be the best exhaust on the market so far. I had a truck on the dyno with one last week and liked the sound. I'm still clinging to my axle dump, but if I go with something that comes out the side again, it will probably be this one.

I had the AWE Exhaust with Bash Guard. It was very droney inside the truck and I did not really enjoy it at all when I am commuting and long road trip. Overall, it sounds amazing but droney, hate it.

Good to know. I do some longer trips with the truck, and often tow, so that could get to be an issue.

I am sticking with stock exhaust with axle dump(SXTH Dump Pipe) and been great for over 18k miles.

Hate to drum up old threads, but just got the 0FG with bash guard for my 2026. I am really hating the drony impact it has at highway speeds. I know they indicate that they eliminate or reduce drone, but it is pretty rough at 70+.

For those that have the side exit, does that help? Wondering if the sound is somehow being reflected due to being under the truck and causing more sound to impact the cab sound?

Finally, anyone have the Magnaflow exhaust? The AWE seemed to be the class favorite and the sound clips are for sure not as real world results say. So wondering if I should ditch this system and try the Magnaflow? Or is it going to be one in the same?

I have the AWE side exit on mine, and it really doesn’t drone that bad FOR A 4 CYLINDER WITH A 3 INCH EXHAUST. It will never be as quiet as a v8 on the highway, simply because the resonant frequency is much lower on 4 cylinder engines and it’s hard to tune that out completely.

also have the side exit, it's not terrible. i would be curious to see if there's a difference in sound with the high clearance tailpipe. i could see it being possible since it dumps directly under the bed compared to the sound technically exiting the side of the vehicle.

Also since you have the AWE exhaust, you can reach out to AWE and buy just the tailpipe and tips.

I have the MagnaFlow Overland system with the side sweep. Zero drone, quiet in the cab. Maybe moderate sound level outside. Deep mellow sound overall with some added hiss under load.

Does the awe exhaust change hp or torque numbers? I've read a couple comments on how they lost some power on the Low end.

I didn’t notice anything big, but I also didn’t do a back to back comparison on the same truck.
