Read through the entire thread, no one seems to have spoken to...

How flexible are these flaps?

The pictures suggest they're pretty rigid. When we're way out off the beaten path, perhaps coming down a shelf or going over a large branch/log/whatever, I'm concerned how accommodating these flaps may be. For instance, let's say it's a situation where the rock slider comes into use. What should I expect with these flaps?

Appreciate your thoughts...
They are not flexible. If you drop on them straight they will shear off the bolts. But they are right behind the tires so I don’t know how likely you’ll ever straight drop down on them. They might bend a little if bent toward the tires.

I've been following this thread for awhile, and it's interesting to see so much variance in rubbing based on trim/alignment even with the same size tires.

I was curious if anyone had more pictures facing towards the wheel wells to clarify clearances based on tire size and trim/alignment. It seems like my SR has quite a bit of clearance, even with 33’s on. About 3 inches to tire from front and back guards. Does anyone know what the depth width of the Canadian mudguards is into the wheel well?
265/70R18. 3 fingers clearance at the bump.

Hey all,

I was looking to see if the online dealer parts site I have ordered from in the past had a good sale price for the wider Canadian part. I searched for PK389-35R50 and the page I got seems to indicate there is a new part number R55. Has anyone seen that before, and know what if anything changed on the part itself?

Second question - I have a 2024 TRD Sport Premium, the 18" TRD Black wheels (45 offset) and 18" 265/65-18 Toyo Tire Open Country A/t 3 tires. I am trying to figure out if I need the narrower or wider of the Canadian ones. I do have aftermarket side steps so there's some protection, but I had a run-in with some newly laid asphalt kicked up along the side of the truck which was a PITA to remove, so I would like to have flaps that do a better job protecting the paint.

From the page:

Manufacturer:
Toyota
Part Number:
PK389-35R55-P1
Replaces:
PK389-35R50-P1

I have the PK389-35R50-P1 on my Pro and they fit perfect, they are even with the wider fender flares that come on the pro. I think the narrow ones would be even with the fender flares on the other models like the sport and off road. I think the 55s would be the same as the 50s but just a part# change but not sure.

In the research I’ve done, the 50s and 55s should be the same or close enough to be interchangeable, it’s the 00s that are the midsize, even with the smaller flares, and then there’s the skinny mudguards (that came on my SR) that don’t extend out from the body or reach to the fender flares

Does anyone have a picture of the "wider" Canadian flaps? Compared to the "OG" Canadian flaps... When I orderd there was only one size.... Also does the "wider" flaps have that same notch on the fronts because I'm guessing it will rub anyway on my setup

Edit* Went back through the thread... Looks like the "wider" flaps are 10.5 inches

Here’s a pic of the OEM Canadian mud flaps (PK389-35R50-P1) that’s on my truck.
