I think everyone’s sensitivity is different. I can certainly feel a slight vibration when switching from electric to gas motor. There is no clunk or thud but it’s a noticeable slight vibration.

Everyone that says it’s seamless are you saying you can’t tell if it’s in ice or electric except by hearing the engine turn on? There is absolutely no vibration felt when switching?
The only thing I "sense" is a slight pop from the engine exhaust.

It seems like there is something wrong with @vprftw90's truck. When my engine is cold I sometimes feel a slight shudder when the ICE first fires. But after that I can't feel anything, just the sound of the engine starting. One route into my neighborhood causes my truck to switch repeatedly from battery to ICE and it is always very smooth.

It might need to be checked out if @vprftw90 can find a dealer that cares enough to try to figure this out.

If your buttomiter decides a "test drive" of the same model reveals there is something rotten in transmission town, that will give the ammunition necessary to pursue this further. If it is a problem, that's :curse:, I would be very upset that a new '25 TRD Pro has an issue. The only other thing I can hypothesize is my OTT tune is smoothing things out?🤷‍♂️

Took me a while to come back and post. I will definitely get it checked out; it lessens once everything’s warmed up after about 15-20 minutes of driving. You 100% notice the ICE engine engaging, exhaust kicking on but it’s not a smooth transition at all.

Curious if this is simply the engine engaging from battery power when at a stop. There is a second or so delay and you can hear/feel the gasoline engine kick in.
Correct, with the TRD exhaust it may be more noticeable. There’s definitely a “pop” of some sort when it all kicks on.

Just to update my experience. Currently at 5,000 miles on my odometer, when switching from electric to ICE I don’t feel anything anymore. It just fires up and only hear the exhaust now. Very smooth. The only thing that changed is I had an oil change just before the 5k miles.

Thanks for the update. Maybe just needs to fully break in and seat. I’ll probably swing by the dealer this week and see if they have another one on the lot to try out.

That’s how mine was until now it’s a smooth transition
Cool, good to know. Glad I was able to find a video of it because every time I tried to take one, couldn’t get it clear.

Appreciate it!
