Got a used bargain a few weeks back, a Roam 83L box with Sherpa brackets and t-slot hardware. Wife and I moved a crossbar to the back of my Sherpa rack, then moved the frontmost crossbar forward to fit it. Thinking we’ll use this box for small, light stuff like clothes and cooking gear when we truck camp.

Threw in my @Banks Power intake yesterday. So far I love it, I had a Sxth Element and sold it to go with a Banks. First impressions so far are it is quieter than Sxth ( even with the side rubber piece removed ), but to my ass dyno it feels more snappier and responsive. Looking forward to the turbo inlet...

Easy adder to the truck today: Charvonia bed rail tie downs that installed on my ReTrax tonneau cover aluminum t-slots.

These were a freebie! A prize from answering a survey, entered into drawing. The prize advertised was a set of red tie downs for the tailgate area. Keith Charvonia noticed I had bought those in the past and offered these. I have blue tie downs as a nod to my Integra 6-speed manual. Wish my Trailhunter came in manual—a turbo hybrid manual would really blow my skirt up…but I digress.

Does the Sherpa Rainier rack or the Roam case interfere with the satellite radio signal. I'm about to order a Rainier to replace the OEM rack and considered adding a box as well.

Recently did a break-in oil change at about 1100 miles.

And yesterday I threw on one of these.

Bed mod day. Installed a set of 4 bed MOLLE panels from BuiltRight plus one of their small universal tech plates on the front (cab end) of the bed. Bought a small size since the ReTrax tonneau canister sits close to the front with about 8” access underneath once the OEM bed mat is put back in. I was able to fit a short Dewalt shovel, sturdy and just fits the area while leaving the bed corners free for attaching to bed tie downs. Drilling the bed was mildly terrifying. Used M6x20 screws to attach the panel.

The bed side MOLLE installation required us to undo the ReTrax tonneau cover bed rail attachments since the MOLLE bolts up under the OEM rails.

I have the 6’ bed. BuiltRight’s 4G Tacoma kit is made for the 5’ bed. When this kit is installed on the 6’ bed, the forward panels on each side don’t extend all the way to the front. This is fine in my case because the ReTrax canister makes it pretty snug in that area anyway.

We like to truck camp sometimes so I put in a set of cheapie box attachments to make a spot for cellphones, chargers, and dime store novels.

Had a chance to attach the ReTrax canister drains in a better way. They have consistently fallen off the canister. I added an O ring and electrical tape while keeping the holes free for drainage.

Best part was getting three sets of Charvonia tie downs installed—bought them forever ago but had only installed the tie down loops next to the tailgate…because taking off and reinstalling/ adjusting the ReTrax is a PITA.
So happy it’s all done. Wife and I were in the yard from 8:30am to 4pm with a brief lunch break. She modded her Subaru with a Wolfbox 360° camera set up and provided muscle for rivet nutsetting.

Finally a break in the weather. Got the Water Company truck cleaned up inside and out. She's definitely taller than my 2nd and 3rd gen rigs. The step made life way easier to get up into the bed and dry off the roof.
