Has anyone with a pro removed the back trim to access the suspension in the seats? Mine is creaking something fierce and I want to oil up the shaft of the shock if possible, I haven’t seen any post on it or YouTube videos, any help would be appreciated

edit: oops the shock didn’t have any air in it, silent now 🤣

Break-in complete. 1015 mi / 1633 km.

Did first oil change today. Installed Fumoto drain valve.

For those that DIY but have not done an oil change yet, some tips:

- Fashion an oil drain "slip 'n slide" to guide the oil into the drain pan. I used cardboard covered with tin foil. The oil does drain quickly

- Be sure to remove the factory drain plug gasket, either to inspect or when replacing with an aftermarket valve. Mine didn't want to let go from the pan at first

- Loosen the oil filter and let drip until that stops. Once unseated, about a cup of oil, probably from the cooler, will splash out

Otherwise, it's like any other oil change you might have done before.

The break-in process went very well. Coming from a Gen2 to a Gen4, a steep but welcome learning curve getting use to the electronics. I did find a few quirks which I've read of in other threads:

- TPMS reports tire pressures 1-2 psi / .06-.12 bar lower than actual, all four tires

- The rearview mirror is stuck in anti-glare mode. Like others, I tried a few things, but nothing worked. I've gotten so used to it I almost never notice it

- I had a rattle in the rear seat. Pressing down on the horizontal portion, I confirmed it was the anchor used to lock the seat back to the cab. Two wraps of electrical tape around the anchor to make it wider to the latch and I haven't heard it since

3 hours with tech support, a little welding, and a prayer. Behold…, knob 2.0. Took less than 5 seconds to swap out. So much better. Part # 90011-23050.
