If was an engineer on Tacoma team I would have the same power system on the SR to the Trail Hunter. I would have the same suspension system on all platforms. I would add six inches to the cab for the rear seat comfort.

Agree with pretty much what you listed.
The knob is easily fixed by replacing it with the RAV4 knob, about $15 at the dealer. It matches the other knobs better and the Off Road rims too.
Which year RAV4 knob?

Larger gas tank. Soft touch materials on the dash and doors as standard(get rid of that hard plastic), with higher quality materials like leather on higher trims. Crew cab option to add a little extra rear seat space with a 5ft box as only bed option(with overall wheelbase being somewhere just under the current long bed to account for the extra cab space). Remove the fake front vent pieces and streamline bumper design. LED projector headlamps that match the 4Runners on higher trims but with sequential turn signals.
i agree. a larger tank..

There’s design and then there’s engineering…honestly the design is pretty top notch IMO I’ve found uses for all 58 cup holders.

Improving the iForce Max with more kWh, more power to the user at camp/off-grid and upgraded battery chemistry would my primary focus. A full slide down rear window or a mid gate system would be killer too for customizations. On the topic of customizations: get rid of the damn cab spoiler, no one cares if you can bend metal to make it look that way. It screws up a lot of what dudes want to do with the bed buildout

Edit: I went through the car wash today and FINALLY noticed the speaker icon on the main display near the top. One press silenced all alarms! I have to wonder if the update I got at the dealer last week added that. I suspect it was there all along though.
I’ve not seen this yet! Pic?

Ill keep my truck forever. I don't have any plans to ever trade it in. Unless Toyota comes out with a Dark Green. I like the bronze, but I settled for it. I waited years for a decent green but finally just caved and settled for Bronze. The GR86 has an optional green I would have bought instantly. If Toyota allowed actual ordering of vehicles I'd have been willing to pay extra and waited longer for it.
Color change PPF, costs thousands but you’d get a good selection of greens, and no more surface scratches.

Very few things trigger an OCD like response from me. Opening doors to a different color is probably #1. Vinyl/PPF/wrap cars can look great. Especially with graphics, color combos, and even straight up images on cars that cannot be duplicated with paint. But as soon as the door opens on a green truck to white door jambs I get itchy. Could never do it.

That can be wrapped too. They just have to take the door cards off. Throw money, see mod.

Put on a driveshaft for the 6' bed that doesn't vibrate at low-middle speed. Like the one they replace the original one with!

I would make grab handles on the driver and passenger sides with through holes so they would actually be useful. As they are now, not very useful. Grab handles on the driver's side are not available except as an aftermarket purchase.
I would stretch the cab so there would be some leg room for the back seat. As it is now, the back seat is useless except for carrying car seats for babies! There isn't enough leg room for a small child, let alone an adult. Very poor design. I keep It down most of the time. The back seat on the 3rd Gen Taco was a better design IMO.
The cloth seat material on my '25 OR feels cheap and stains easily. Trucks need more durable OEM seat covers! One of the first things I did was get seat covers.
All the radio controls on the steering wheel should be on the same side.
Go back to the V-6! I got better mileage with it than I do with this 4 banger. I heard they are offering a V-6 in 2027.
