I'm not making the decision based on what "most people' do, but I am interested in what the general consensus is on the '25 chin. Are most keeping, or removing it?

This forum is for Tacoma enthusiasts mostly. Enthusiasts like to mod their vehicles so if you ask this forum most will say remove it. For the other 99 percent of Tacoma drivers that have not and will never visit this forum there gonna keep it on.
lol, correct. It looks fkn stupid. I would have removed it before driving out of the dealership.

I am in Toyota country in Georgetown KY. I rarely see ANYONE driving with it removed.

I would have destroyed it offroad if I left it on. Probably would have torn up the holes it bolts to on the bumper.

I still get 25-27MPG freeway with 265/70/17s and steel wheels.

Bad MPG on these trucks is from bolting too much crap to them (roof specifically) and skill issue.

I took it off for the summer and getting ready to reinstall it for the winter. Just a little more protection during winter driving.

I took it off ASAP. I spent a fair sum of money on a vehicle that is made to haul stuff and I have a vehicle that gets great mileage when I travel longer distances so the mileage was way down my check list for this truck.

If getting 1 mpg more is a deal breaker, then leave it on. If you drive around town and use it to haul, I see no reason to leave something on that makes your truck look stupid. I am sorry for those that take offense to that statement but there is no sugar coating it.

It is like braces for teeth. As soon as they are taken off, it looks so much more smooth and no matter how you dress your truck up, if you still have the chin spoiler on it will look odd at the least IMHO.

The chin spoiler was most likely an after thought to get a slightly better MPG truck for the comparison of other truck manufacturers. I just can't believe that some keep it on for no more than it gains?

Call me OCD................ 🤔

Hahahah. Tell me how you really feel. I have less than 1k miles on it so it’s on because I’m focusing on other things. I’m leaning strongly on taking it off.

Took it off a month ago. It would get ripped off during the first good snowstorm.

Sitting underneath the deck right now. I probably won't put it back on in the spring.

I think those things are an awful waste of plastic. If my truck had come with one, I would’ve removed it right away and had some spare clips for useful mods.
