Today I had a chance to continue my sound deadening project by taking on the back wall. This was a much more cluttered wall than my third gen truck but still doable. I only did the sound deadening layer since I figured the rear seats would provide plenty of thermal insulation. I was much more OCD on my last truck and ended up with 97 square feet of sound deadening by covering up every inch of surface. Dynamat only recommends covering 25% of the surface which I am more than covering. The last part I will be covering is the hood and I will end up with around 45 square feet of coverage or less than half of my last truck.

Today I had a chance to install the TRD Pro exhaust. The install was easy but I did have to jack up the truck on the rear driver side to get the old exhaust to go over the rear axle. Does the new exhaust look nicer? Yes it does. Does the new exhaust sound better? Yes it does. Does the new exhaust provide any more power? No it does not. I still think it was worth it to get 2 out of 3 positive results. I weighed both pipes and the TRD Pro is exactly 1 pound lighter. I bought this used from Jimi who is a great person. He gave up his nice house at the beach to move in with his 88 year old mother to help take care of her. Although she doesn't drive anymore, she is still sharp as a tack who is very well read and is a very interesting person to talk to. It is nice to see that there are still families with strong ties that bind.

Kitchen slide built from scratch & tested out in the Utah desert. Love it. Only drawback is weight @ 55lbs sans the 2020 frame bench/shelf sleeper berth (weighing in at ~15lbs). Wired up a simple cob strip light for the kitchen, that was done in 3/8” aluminum U-channel, super light and makes all the difference. Looking for drawer slides made from aluminum or carbon fiber, payload is a thing for me, when 3 days of water usage = 110lbs, every damn chachki adds up. It’s a 4 banger, if I need to buy a 14 lb Dometic foldout camp table, I guess I’ll do it. Stoked that I attempted this tho. Weather was great, riding was excellent as always.

Had the new Alu-Cab wired for built in LED lights and LED third brake light. I had a switched placed so I could turn the lights on and off at my convenience.

I put the Trailhunter grill on my TRD OR.. still working on getting the bar to work since I'm trying to avoid using the AUX switches, I purchased the TRD Light Bar button from a Tundra and waiting for a few more components to arrive before finishing it up. Paired with a 18" dual color bar from Triple-R lights..
