This is our first keyless vehicle. When I get in my truck I am still looking to insert a key like a dummy. But we have another vehicle that still uses a key on the same ring. So I tend to just throw the fob in the cup holder. I see a little cubby hole in the dash but the fob falls out. I should just leave it in my pocket but I'm used to having a key in my hand when I get in a vehicle.

First keyless vehicle for us as well——you’ll get used to it faster than you think. The fob is on the ring with my other keys and usually in my pocket. FWIW, I’ve seen a little removable drawer for that cubby (can’t remember the exact name) that would allow you to store something in there without falling if you wanted to utilize it (that opening is where the trailer brake control would be). IIRC, someone here posted about it, but don’t remember who.

I leave my on a carabiner on my belt. I leave my digital key card in my wallet as well as a fall back but always have my key. I also recently got a AJT Design keyfob in a dark green to help spice it up a bit.

Always, always in my pocket, if they are not in my pocket I would panic like leaving your phone at home.

I use the keycard; keep it in my wallet so it's always there and my forgetful self doesn't put it down somewhere random and forget about it...

Pocket. Never remove my keys/lanyard from my pocket lol
This.
If you habitually toss it somewhere in the vehicle, eventually you are going to walk off without. And then anybody can walk up, unlock, and drive away.

I use my phone (Lexus App, yea the Toyota App sucks ass ironically), I don't use fobs anywhere when daily driving relatively close to home. But I'm in a state that is #1/#2 for vehicle thefts in the nation.

The fobs do provide a more robust signal and easier entry/strartup. I envy civilized law abiding regions.

on you, in your pocket is ideal unless you're on a road trip

I keep mine between my cheek and gum. Wait, did I misunderstand what a fob is? Sorry, I seem to be stuck in Dad joke mode for the last few years.
Pocket, usually.
OK, one more. Mine doubles as an earring when I'm feelin' fancy. Pretty sure there is a Trumgeta thread for earring design feedback somewhere here. Can't seem to find the link right now. :)

Fob goes into an RFID blocker pouch after I lock the vehicle. Sometimes I just bring the key card and use the pouch for that also after locking vehicle. I’m in California 93001, not as bad as the L. A. area but bad enough to keep me on my toes.
My wallet is an RFID blocker too.

I never carry the fob, digital key card stays in wallet next to DL and also use Toyota app. BTW, cannot lock the truck if I leave my phone inside. I think the fob in the truck is the same way as my wife sometimes likes to leave her purse in the truck with her fob in it, and the doors will not lock.

If I am using the fob… Carabiner on belt loop or lanyard around neck. Never take it off or out. It’s just “on my person”. But I prefer to use my wallet card one and it is in my pocket or purse (with my ID and cards).
