Nope. Reverted to trip b.
Dang, that is crushing to hear. Are you by chance connected through the app to your truck? I wonder if that is part of the equation. There has to be something that is different; not everyone has this issue (though I know not everyone uses the TPMS feature) so there has to be a way to fix it.

I also want to check; have you done the recall yet for the newest version of the software? I also notice now, my truck used to start on screen one but it seems to start in screen 2 now; like the software is set to a certain state at startup.

Did you have your TPMS set before setting up a new profile?

Apologies for the questions, but you have to approach these things like its a software issue nowadays...

I tried it but didn't realize my phone wasn't connected after creating the new primary profile. I just reconnected it and turned off the truck. We'll see if it holds now

Maybe it loads your profile settings from the phone?? I wish they had documentation on how everything is supposed to work. If it isn't seamless we need more documentation!!

Still working for me as of this morning (I will update periodically) Hopefully that means if one of you gets it to stick then it will stay as well. Additionally, I don't know if this matters, but I did get the gauge cluster recall (new software) done before trying this.

My truck does not have the 12.3 inch display recall completed. App does have the profile connected to the vehicle.

I already got that software update as well. Keeping my fingers crossed

Well, the time line for me is as such: recall (didn't work) > full reset of infotainment / dash through the option on the infotainment (didn't work) > linking of app / connected services / profile etc. (worked)

I think it may have happened in this order:

> I setup connected services on my phone
> I set the gauge to how I wanted
> Truck connected to the Toyota services / synced my profile

If that doesn't work, try an infotainment reset, set the TPMS / gages the way you want, then sync / load your profile. I wish I had someone near me who had this issue so I could test / troubleshoot on their truck but offering suggestions is the best I can do.

That being said I'll never tell you "but it worked for me I don't know" that is one of the most frustrating things you can hear from a technician.....

edit: I'm not a Toyota tech just some IT guy if anyone is confused

Oh hey, not that far. LA area. Give those steps a try (like the recall update and the reset) and if we really hit a roadblock maybe we can do a support group lol. I'll be busy this / next month with some DIY renovations and an expo but I'm willing to give a try, even if I can't promise anything. I took my truck out on some errands tonight and still working. I'm afraid to mess with my screens now; what I have is what I have since I don't want it reverting lol. I mean I have what I want and probablly don't need the other screens but still a little sucky to live in fear. At least its sticking for me now....

Yeah mine is still not sticking so I'll definitely give that a shot!

Sorry for having various bits of information come up in bits and pieces but I just remembered that when I sync my phone to the truck it asked for my phone pin. I think if you see that when syncing your phone /profile, you are headed in the right direction.

It's working now! Thank you for all the support and information, @stuckinsocal! I think the key was the infotainment reset. Here's the order that worked for me:
1. Removed primary profile in infotainment system and in the app
2. Set up connected services in app
3. Reconnected to the infotainment system (tire pressure display did not work at this point)
4. Reset the infotainment system
5. Set the screens like I wanted them, including the tire pressure screen on the second page right hand display
Reconnected my phone with Bluetooth
6. Selected the primary user again and activated it with my 6 digit pin
7. Turned off the truck for a few hours
8. Turned the truck back on and it stuck!

Note that I did this all while the truck was in park and running fully.

Also I have noticed that, if I shift out of park before the infotainment system connects, the tire pressure monitor screen goes away. Maybe that's part of the issue. Anyone else seen that?

What do you lose or have to reconfigure on the infotainment reset?

I'm personally extremely hesitant to "undo" the connected services full opt out. Here's what I get within the Toyota app.

I lost my subscription to music lover and had to re subscrib when I disconnected my car. I think I lost the remaining partial month from my previous subscription.
