What did you do TO / WITH your 4th gen Tacoma today?! 👨‍🏭 🧰 📸

Yesterday I installed Redline Tuning hood struts. This was an easy install and the instructions were great.

Today I installed the bed step $95 from Amazon. This install gave me problems. I followed the advice from a previous poster about running a bolt through the holes before installing the step to clean the paint out of the holes, and this worked to an extent. I managed to bugger up 2 holes a bit and messed up the treads on 2 of the bolts. I fixed the problem by running a 10mm x 1.5 tap through the holes and the same size die to clean the threads on the bolts. I used WD-40 throughout the entire process to lube the bolts and holes and they still got buggered on the 1st try. If you do add a step, I recommend running a tap through the holes first. you can get one at Lowe's for about $9 if you don't have one. You have to use a box or open end wrench to tighten the bolts as there isn't enough room to use a ratchet. I don't think a ratchet wrench would fit either, but I didn't have a 14 mm one to try. The last thing I did today was add my Retired Army tag holder and Vietnam Vet tag to the front of the truck.

I'm guessing you'll be very happy w/ the hood struts and bed step---- I have both and consider them to be really worthwhile adds. Great looking truck and thank you for your service

9412km lol, taking it to Cape Breton at the end of the month

ALSO PS under the Tacoma threshold protector rubs into the paint and I have rust bubbles under it! I’m putting ppf under it right now

Don’t do that. That’s not a bump stop, it’s a remote reservoir that holds shock fluid

A week after trading in my 24 Trailhunter for a New 25 TRD PRO, I decided to install the Sport Bar on the TRD. I really like the look of the Sport bar, gives the Tacoma that Marty Mcfly vibe IMO.

In anticipation of my soon to be mounted 275/70/18 rims and tires, I order the ARK mudflaps to avoid paint damage. The tires I chose say in the description that they are design to expel rocks in the tread, so yeah. Better safe than sorry.

Well ill go out on limB here lol……i finally got my slidders from “ Greenlane offroad “. Im excited to install , ill say this the customer service was amazing…….Tariffs, zero, taxes, zeroe ….quality of shipping above and beyond , these sliders came from canada, they took 3 days as said by the guys in shop, When i say you can drop them off a building without incident,,,,wow the packing was incredible, …i will install then post pictures on these

Today I had a successful crossing of Medano Pass from Great Sand Dunes NP west to east on Medano Primitive Road to CO SR 69 in the Trailhunter which performed flawlessly. That is what the Trailhunter was made to do.

Eventful start to the week. On Monday I installed the Alldogs Offroad front springs (thanks Ken @Romer for the suggestion). Very pleased with the stance. Maybe around 1.5"-2" lift, which was all I wanted. I wanted an adjustable front assembly, but these will work for now.

Then Tuesday I installed my C4 winch bumper. Extremely please with that, too. I only had three issues with this install. First, my old Warn XD9 with the 6hp XP motor didn't fit the cradle. The motor was too long. Fortunately, I still had the original XD motor, and it fit. Tight, but it fit. The second issue was a minor one. The bumper comes with a "bridge skid." The 1/4" cap screws it comes with were too long, and ran into the crossmember. I cut them in half and solved the problem. The third issue is I now have a front radar error. No idea what's up with that.
