Traded it in. Just wasn’t the truck for me. Replaced with a 2019 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium.

Installed the HiLift mount and pulled the RhinoRack basket from my old Subaru to haul the bikes. I'm thinking of either mounting the ActionTrax to the left of the basket or a storage case.

Since im not tryna jump in and out of the bed with my healing foot (broke 1 mo ago) i had my guys at Dynamic install my soft topper

they are not joking about the warm day for install fyi lol, but I'm gonna rock it in safari mode 99% of the time anyways

The hood insulation pad that I ordered on black Friday for less than half the retail price came in today. I chose the OEM pad even though the sale price was more than twice the price of the aftermarket ones. The cheap chinesium aftermarket ones are made of recycled plastic bottles and the last thing I would want is for it to melt on top of my engine. Hopefully, the ones who installed those will never have that problem but I just did not want to take that chance. The access holes to the outer surface are very small so I was not able to put much there but was able to cover around half of the inner surface before installing the OEM pad. The Dynamat took around a half hour to lay down while the OEM pad took all of 5 minutes to install. It was at the advise of @Drifte that I put down a layer of Dynamat before installing the pad. I look forward to testing it out tomorrow.

Today I had a chance to replace the OEM front side windows with the OEM laminated windows that only come on the halo trims and TRD premium package trims. I wanted everything on the Sport Upgrade package but nothing on the premium package except for the laminated windows. Therefore, I decided to upgrade the side windows myself and save 93% of the over $4000 increase in charge for the premium package. Since I got them on a special black Friday sale they were actually less than a good ceramic tint. There are 2 reasons why I wanted the laminated windows. First, I wanted them to reduce the wind noise and have a quieter ride. The second reason is that the laminated windows filter out 99% of the UV radiation which contributes to skin cancer. I have had over 100 precancerous spots removed in the last 15 years. Two of the spots turned into squamous cell carcinoma cancers and one was melanoma. I know that a high quality ceramic tint can filter out most of the UV but I want all of the help I can get. One last thing is that there is a small rubber cover that has to be removed to gain access to one of the 2 bolts that needs to be removed. That rubber cover needs to be put back on before the door panel is replaced or you will have to undo what you just did. Ask me how I know. Never mind.....just another rhetorical question.
