The OEM tails looks 20x better than those and you’ve already got them

I have an email into him, as that is who I bought it from. The best person to tell you how to do this is John at Specialty Performance Parts. He can get you a good harness
Be sure to check out my video, it will save you a lot of time and hassle! So I have a 2025,and trying to understand where the new adapter connect and what goes on the rigid lights?![]()

Give SPV a call. I couldn't find just the harness on their website, but I'm 90% certain that they will sell you the harness if you already have the lights, and they are super helpful and nice. I highly recommend the harness; it makes it much easier to install. So I just ordered the lights from Rigid for the ARB bumper…and then I saw this thread. With what I’ll be receiving, am I correct in that they will function as reverse lights only? Not as running lights? I read through the thread, but I’m still unsure as to if rigid corrected the wiring harness issue. @SPV Parts I looked on your website, but the wiring harness kits seem to come with the lights. I couldn’t seem to find anything that was the harness only for dummy’s like me that bought the lights before learning to read.
Hopefully this helps you AND others, make sense of this...So I just ordered the lights from Rigid for the ARB bumper…and then I saw this thread. Awesome! That makes sense. Since I already ordered the 399 kit from rigid I’m outta luck there. I do have a 24 so at least I have that going for me. Which of these connector options is the correct one for the rigid?Hopefully this helps you AND others, make sense of this...
But here is the breakdown...
This is the Rigid Kit- #20643
https://www.rigidindustries.com/2024-toyota-tacoma-arb-rear-bumper-kit.html
You will notice that it's priced at $399.99
It includes only 2 things... The flush mount lights... And the Rigid Crimp on harness with a 2 wire connector for the 2024 model ONLY...
Credit @rchrds for this photo and here are more on his post about the standard Rigid kit-
https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/thre...-rigid-lights-with-spv-wires.8246/post-111768
As you see in the photo (and link) the Rigid kit comes with JUST a bare wire harness that crimps onto the lights and then a 2 wire plug. (Power and Ground) that plug into ONLY a 24 model. In 25, they changed the plug to a 4 pin connector. So for those of you with a 25, the Rigid kit wont work anyway..

So... in short, for $399... You get that harness and ONE set of flush mount lights....
These are the same lights WITHOUT the harness for $304.99
https://specialtyperformanceparts.com/products/rigid-sr-l-series-spreader?variant=32294175801388
So if you are following here. You are paying $95 for the Rigid Harness....
Make sense so far?
Here are our harness options separately...
https://specialtyperformanceparts.c...y-vehicles-see-details?variant=46735625617640
For the Tacoma, with our Tail light adapter... It includes 2 add on WEATHER PROOF connectors rather than crimping the lights to the harness and then they just plug into our harness and the tail light adapter.
The short rear harness with tail light adapter will power the red backlights with the tail/running lights automatically.
It also powers the white light when in reverse.
Its price separately is $74.99
So... If you add up $74.99 and $304.99.. individually its $380. That's $20 less than the Rigid Tacoma kit...
Now... From there.... You can do one of the following things...
You can ALSO connect them to Your Aux switches in BOTH the 24 and 25 Models....
There are 2 ways...
You can ADD ON this pig tail that PLUGS INTO our Short rear harness, but this is the 2 pin connector for a 24 only and we will have the updated 4 pin ALSO for the 25 in a month or so.
https://specialtyperformanceparts.c...h-to-spv-harness?_pos=13&_sid=46a237c3d&_ss=r
The second way, and this works for EITHER the 24 or 25 models...
You GET Pig tail connectors WITH your truck at purchase. Both the 24 and 25's came with the 2 or 4 pin connectors at about 12" long with 2 or 3 wires at the end.
You can simply get one of these ADD ON connectors and put it on the end of your pig tail for either model. It can then just plug in as an ADD ON to our short Harness/Tail light adapter to give you switch control and Automatic.
https://specialtyperformanceparts.c...ors?_pos=3&_psq=add+on+connector&_ss=e&_v=1.0
So those are all the pieces ALA CARTE..
If you want them as a discounted KIT.. You can choose from any of those options.
Here is the link-
https://specialtyperformanceparts.c...t-plug-n-play-srl?_pos=2&_sid=339ebabfd&_ss=r
So as you can see... You can buy parts individually.. However, if you get the Rigid kit and don't use their harness and then buy our harnesses... You are basically wasting $95 because the lights by themselves are $304.99 vs $399.99
Here are the instructions as well-

Hope this clears it up!
