Tire pressure screen reset - when will there be a TSB?

The fact that Toyota can't get a full solution to fix this issue is INCREDIBLY stupid. I agree with that. The solution we've described does work (for most) but that's not a "complete" solution that a vehicle, especially at this price point, should be dealing with.

Still doing something different. I did the following the other day, but sure enough when I got in the truck the next morning, it had rolled back to Trip B and never put itself back even after the truck had said the profile was loaded.

1. Engine running, in park, parking brake active
2. Settings | Profiles, delete primary user
3. screen reverts to "Guest - Get Started"
4. Re-link vehicle via VIN/QR code, select "activate"
5. Vehicle reports "all set", click "complete"
6. When prompted to set up Bluetooth, selected "No"
7. Setting | Info | Security, system reset = yes
8. confirm for system reset
   1. This immediate de-linked the vehicle and associated account from steps 4/5
9. Vehicle screen returns to Guest - Link Vehicle prompt
   1. Selected to "cancel setup"
   2. Message box with "profile not saved"
10. Prompted to pair mobile device, selected "No"
11. Left infotainment on Profile screen and began to configure the MID
    1. As I was moving around the MID menus, the vehicle infotainment refreshed and showed my old profile name
12. Configured Gauge settings first, and configured Dials settings second
    1. On MID screen 1
       1. Allowed all dials to be permitted on left side (this pertains to all screens)
       2. Configured MID 1 (navigation left, fuel economy right)
    2. On MID screen 2
       1. Allowed all dials to be permitted on right side (this pertains to all screens)
       2. Configured MID 2 (trip A left, current drive right)
    3. On MID screen 3
       1. Configured MID 3 (trip B left, TPMS right)
13. Connect Bluetooth, confirm pair, allow Android Auto
14. On Infotainment, tap to Profile
    1. Noticed a "SAVE" text next to profile name
    2. Tapped it / profile name
    3. Prompted to confirm save (have never seen this before)
    4. Selected "Continue"
    5. Screen flips to "Get Started - Link Vehicle" prompts
       1. Have to perform entire VIN/QR link again, activate, decline additional
       2. Receive "All Set" / completed prompt
    6. Prompted to set up Bluetooth, selected "Yes"
15. Powered truck off
16. Powered truck back on
    1. All MID displays are back at defaults
    2. Configured everything again per Step 12 above
17. Within Settings | Personal Info
    1. No devices linked
    2. No key linked
    3. (YET, I get the "welcome... profile loading" message on start up)
18. Powered truck off
19. Powered truck back on ~10 min later
20. Did not auto-find my profile this time (full cold shutdown), displayed "Guest" as active profile
21. Tapped my saved profile name, prompted me for my PIN
22. Entered PIN and received "welcome... profile loading"
23. Powered truck off
24. Powered truck back on < 10 min later
25. "Profile loading"
26. Powered truck off, waited overnight
27. Powered truck on, "Guest" loaded
28. Tapped my profile, entered PIN
    1. dials remained rolled over to Trip B, not TPMS
29. Activated device linked to profile and key linked to profile
30. Powered truck off, waited overnight
31. Powered truck on, my profile loaded
32. Dial remained rolled over to Trip B
    1. Few more drives in and still, even if I want in park (with or without parking brake set) for multiple minutes, never loads dial back to TPMS

It is going to take me a little bit to retrace your steps and think about what may be diffrent, but a quick question - do you turn on your lights at all when you turn on your truck? I did that just recently (haven't driven at night for a little bit since its almost always light in the evening in socal) and it reverted my change (of course once I fixed it next startup was fine) and I realized that anything that changes the dash before the widgets load may cause it to revert. Just a thought.

Sure, but I haven't had to switch to TPMS in a while so... if its dumb but it works is it really dumb?

While we've collectively been exploring this, I've been pressing start and then not touching or adjusting anything until the infotainment screen removes the "loading profile" message and AA takes over the screen.

I don't think this is it, but try setting them to "off". That is how I have mine set. Its going to take me a bit to read though and compare your previous message but I will do so and try to find the differences.

Something you might want to check @Baltimore. Is your phone the primarily linked device to your truck? I posted some photos from mine. Basically you want to go into the personal info setting and click Manage Devices. Make sure your device is the primary device linked to your profile.

yes. both the phone is "linked" to the profile as well as my primary key is "linked".

Because mine does not do this. If I have it on the pressure readout, it stays that way the next time I start up. There will be just lines for the first minute or so until it reads the sensors. But it will stay there indefinitely until I change it to something

Correct, it always defaults back to trip b (previous menu item in the menu).

Yeah, mine does not do that. If I put it on that screen, it stays on that screen indefinitely until I change it. As I mentioned, there's about a 1 minute delay before the truck reads the sensors, so it just dotted lines at each corner until it reads them.

My rig is an SR with the simpler instrument panel and a build date of 4/26. Not sure if either of those bits of info make a difference.

Could be a difference in not having the 12.3" full digital tach. Now that you mention that, wonder if it's related or coincidence that those also have a recall on them too.

Not sure. My wife has '25 Corolla Hatchback SE that has the combination analog and digital panel that doesn't appear to be part of the full digital instrument panel recall that effects the XSE and GR models.

My instrument panel has one digital dial gauge that I can use as a speedometer or tachometer. I typically keep it on the tach and use the digital speedometer in the middle.

This option is alway up if I want it though, no fiddling with it at each key start.

This issue applies to trucks with the full digital screen. I think most of us have just written it off as something that will never be addressed. Every time I’ve asked it’s always the same answer. Every issue I bring to their attention is novel to them. There is no interest in addressing trucks already sold. Unlike Teslas which constantly gets updates and added features.

Still has not remained 'stuck' for me. I gave up until someone can lock in on more concrete steps - to either have it remain, or get Toyota to acknowledge it as a written coding defect. I've now spent more time in 5 attempts at getting it to stay and rebuilding all my settings than it does for the 10 seconds to flips the gauge back (does not negate the annoyance, but one effort needs to outweigh the other).

If someone can continue to refine and lock in on the exact minimum steps and actions, I'm willing to try again, but right now, there's too much up for interpretation still :-(
