Howdy,

For those curious, weighed our 2025 TH short bed over the weekend. Wanted to get a baseline weight before we started serious modifications. Changing from stock tires to Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT is probably the greatest weight gain. Changed rock rails, gained 6 lbs total. Full tank and unloaded (empty truck, no driver).

GVWR: 6,835blb
Load capacity: 1,215 lbs / reduced: ~174 lbs / 1,041 lbs

Total weight: 5,680 lb
Steer axle: 3,120 lb
Drive axle: 2,560 lb

Basically 55%/45% front/rear distribution.

Thought it may be of use for folks.

Cheers!

Fuel tank level?

Driver in the vehicle? If so, driver weight?

Any stuff stored in the vehicle? Or completely empty?

Had meant to include that. I've updated the OP. GVWR is 6,835 lb

Empty truck, full tank, no driver.

The load capacity reduction (added to OP) includes the yellow sticker reduction, + 6 lbs for Westcott Des. rails, and +14 lb/tire compared to original tire weight.

CAT Scales accuracy tolerance is ±20 lb per pad, or 0.1% of applied load, whichever is greater, so I'm not too worried about whatever's floating in glove box and center console. Each axle on a separate platform, so potential of ±40 lb tolerance.

Good enough for my purposes.

The morale of the story<g>, is that after essentials are loaded (me, my wife, our dog, and 2 dry bags) for a weekend trip, there's not much left for bumper, winch, bed rack, fridge, supplies...and more...and gas. We all know, we're gonna have to carry more gas with us than we previously have had to with Riddick's predecessor<g>.

I already knew it before purchase. Underscores why upgrading springs and brakes will be a requirement for safety/comfort as we evolve our build. The drive for this weighing was to give us a baseline before the heavy stuff starts being introduced.
